Tooling For Composites
Dangar designed and built molds to produce the composite impellers for the NASA Helios experimental project built by Aerovironment. The aircraft is a remotely-piloted “flying wing” design that is powered by the sun's energy collected by its solar panels. Helios set the world record for highest altitude reached by an airplane at 96,863 ft. in 2001.
